Product Manager

 

Responsibilities:
 

Brand Management
•    Develop and implement the strategic brand plan and deliver aligned core tactical                 programmes (e.g. Campaigns, materials, tool kits, patient / physician support packages,         etc.) 
•    Support the creation and execution of tactical international marketing programmes 
•    Create materials and tool kits aligned to tactical programmes, pro-actively seeking cross-         functional and cross-country input 
•    Interpret and leverage market research in the creation of tactical programmes and                 materials
•    Determine customers' needs and desires by specifying the research needed to obtain             market information
•    Provide source data for product line communications by defining product marketing                 communication objectives
•    Obtain product market share by working with the CEO to develop product sales strategies
•    Provide information for management by preparing short- and long-term product sales               forecasts and special reports and analyses; answering questions and requests
•    Facilitate inventory turnover and product availability by reviewing and adjusting inventory       levels and production schedules
•    Determine product pricing by utilizing market research data; reviewing production and           sales costs; anticipating volume; costing special and customized orders
•    Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops;             reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in               professional societies
•    Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

     

Product development

•    Manage new and existing products from concept to design, sample production, testing,         forecasting, cost,  production and support

•    Recommend the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing                 product specifications and requirements; appraise new product ideas and / or product or       packaging changes 
•    Introduce and market new products by developing time-integrated plans with sales,                 advertising, and production
•    Assess product market data by calling on customers with field salespeople and evaluating       sales call results
•    Assess market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products
•    In collaboration with CEO, identify new products to market by analyzing proposed                 product requirements and product development programs; prepare return-on-investment           analyses; establish time schedules with engineering and manufacturing 
 

Requirements:
 

•    Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or / and Business  and 8-10 years experience in the             pharma / life science industry
•    Experience developing market development and launch plans 
•    Extensive knowledge of international medical device advertising regulations and                   guidelines
•    Proactive, can-do attitude
•    Comfortable with start-up culture
•    Understands current and future business trends and information
•    Effective problem solving skills
•    English: fluent; German: desired. Written, verbal communication and presentation skills in       small and large group settings
•    Disease / therapeutic area knowledge
•    Leadership skills / negotiation skills, Mentoring / coaching, Ability to effectively multi-task       and prioritize
•    Financial budgeting and forecasting skills
•    Project management / organizational skills. Solid computer skills requirement of MS               applications including (but not limited to) MS Project, Word, Excel
•    Interpersonal skills and patient centricity
•    Cross functional and cross-cultural awareness
•    Ability to work in a matrix environment

This full time role requires US / Europe business travel of approx. 30-40%
